WCRD 2025 CV Světlovská

Daniela Světlovská is the head of the Department of Clinical Trials at the National Cancer Institute (NOÚ) in Bratislava. She completed her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the Comenius University (UK) in Bratislava, department of clinical pharmacology, with a focus on adjuvant treatment of breast cancer (2008). She studied biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the UK, Department of Animal Physiology and Ethology (1998), where in 2009 she received her doctorate (RNDr.). She participated in the creation of Order No. 4/2018 of the Ministry of Health, which for the first time created legislative support for the existence of clinical trial and biomedical research units in health facilities in Slovakia, defining their activities and the need for minimum positions. The order was inspired by the Department of Clinical Trials at NOÚ (NCI), which she has leads for 23 years. She is an active member of the AACR (American Association for Cancer Research), has repeatedly presented research results (posters) at the AACR Annual Meeting in Washington as well as the ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) Annual Meetings. She is also an employee of the Translational Research Unit of the Medical Faculty of the Comenius University and NOÚ (NCI).
