WCRD 2025 CV Petra Sládková

Dr. Petra Sládková is the Head of the Department of Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague, and Bulovka University Hospital. She graduated in General Medicine at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, and later specialized in Rehabilitation Medicine and Assessment Medicine. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy and a Ph.D. in Human Physiology and Pathophysiology.
Her international professional experience includes fellowships and observerships in Germany and Spain. She has been actively involved in several European projects focused on disability, vocational rehabilitation, and telerehabilitation, including PATHWAYS, MHADIE, and currently the project Multidisciplinary Individualized Social and Health Care with Telerehabilitation and Assistive Technologies (2025–2027).
Dr. Sládková serves on multiple national and international expert committees, such as the Functioning and Disability Reference Group (FDRG) and the Classification and Statistical Advisory Committee (CSAC) of the WHO. She is also the chairwoman of appeal proceedings at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
Her main scientific and clinical interests include oncology rehabilitation, prehabilitation and telerehabilitation, functional evaluation, quality of life in patients with disability, and vocational rehabilitation.
